America Needs A Buddhist President

This Political Season’s Most Radical Book
on the Race for the White House

by Brett Bevell

Bold poetic vision of America under the leadership of a Buddhist president. Brett Bevell's prophetic voice and Eben Dodd's simple but elegant line drawings proclaim a radical alternative American dream in the tradition of Buddhism-inspired writers Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac.

Praise for Brett Bevell’s
America Needs A Buddhist President
“A cogent and wild solution to the difficulties of our times. Brett Bevell's book brings wit and sanity to political discourse. When it comes right down to it, compassion, self-reliance, honesty, and genuine service to others are at the heart of Buddhism—qualities sorely needed in the body politic.”
Anne Waldman, co-founder with Allen Ginsberg, The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, Naropa University Poet, Cultural Activist

“Just imagine an American president like the one in Brett Bevell's magical, brilliant, and prophetic poem! When enough of us share such dreams with our children, they will happen — and that will shapeshift the world!”
John Perkins, author of Shapeshifting: The World Is As You Dream It and The Stress-Free Habit
